Technical Superintendent

Seacontractors has and will grow considerably via new buildings and acquisition of a variety of 50-, 70- and 120-tonnage vessels. Therefore, we are looking for a Technical Superintendent to strengthen our Headquarters in Vlissingen (NL) and provide his/her expertise to our current Technical department. 

As a Technical Superintendent you are part of the technical team that keeps our fleet in top condition. You will be responsible for the organization of the technical maintenance of all technical related matters on board. Taking into account Operational matters, our maritime activities, ecological footprint as well as (the fast) and continuous improvement that is required within our sector. 

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Coordination (annual) maintenance, periodical drydock works and repairs both on-site as through our NL office.
• Ensuring the process of good maintenance & repairs, inspections and damage compensation as well as vessel purchase.
• Check and control of vessel certificates validity.
• Planning, budgeting of (annual) maintenance as well coordination with our team of Technical Superintendents.
• Improve purchase appointments and request quotes, draft up suppliers list and maintain good contact with our suppliers.
• Liase with our insurance companies, certification agencies and external experts.
• Maintain daily contact with our vessel crew in regard to technical matters and their requested assistance.

PROFILE

• Technical knowledge and skills, in the maritime industry, are key to this position.
• Minimum of 5+ years working experience with similar of affiliated working field.
• (Offshore) Experience within the shipping industry is a plus.
• MBO/HBO education level with a relevant technical education.
• Interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels both internally and externally in both Dutch and English language. 
• Willing to travel international and visist our home ports worldwide.
• Administrative skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
