Technical and Operational Support Officer

Seacontractors has and will grow considerably via new buildings and acquisition of a variety of 50-, 70- and 120-tonnage vessels. Therefore, we are looking for a Technical & Operational Support Officer to strengthen our Headquarters in Vlissingen (NL) and provide his/her expertise to our current Technical & Operational department. 

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Technical & Operational Support Officer to assist our Technical, Operational, and QHSE departments. This diverse role includes managing maintenance systems, coordinating procurement, ensuring compliance with emission standards, and handling the logistics of parts and inspections. Your work will support the smooth operation of our fleet, helping us maintain high standards of safety, efficiency, and compliance.

Job Description

• Maintenance Systems: Create and maintain a database for purchase of consumables, spares,  towing and hoisting equipment; ensure purchasing systems and documents are up to date.
• Emission Monitoring: Collect, verify, and report emission data daily to ensure compliance.
• Purchasing & Logistics: Procure parts and coordinate transport to vessels worldwide.
• Contract & Document Management: Oversee technical contracts (Class, life rafts, etc.) and maintain organized records.
• ICT Support: Act as the primary point of contact for ICT matters.
• Inspections: Coordinate and ensure all vessels are inspected annually to meet compliance standards.

Profile

We are looking for someone with a strong technical background in the maritime industry and the drive to thrive in an international, fast-paced environment.

• Technical Expertise: You bring solid technical knowledge and skills relevant to the maritime industry.
• Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a similar role or field.
• Education: You have an MBO/HBO level education with a technical focus.
• Communication Skills: You excel in communicating effectively with all levels of staff and stakeholders, both in Dutch and English.
• Organizational Skills: You are detail-oriented with solid administrative capabilities and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
